For six months before the polls, she engaged in door-to-door campaigning, listening to the grievances of local families and assuring them of effective solutions while promising to remain accessible after the elections.
She also vowed to provide strong youth representation by bringing the voice of the next generation to the Council and creating better opportunities for them.
Following the announcement of the results, Harneek expressed her deep gratitude to her supporters and family for their unwavering faith in her vision. She stated that she is deeply indebted to her parents, family, and friends for standing firmly behind her throughout this journey.
Notably, she was the youngest applicant in her ward and the only Sikh candidate among the contestants. Also, she was one of only two women in the Mayfield race.
